the three-hour drive weekend after weekend, from Braintree out to Pittsfield. Elsie and Harold
eventually made their home in Weymouth, where they raised their daughter Susan.
Elsie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, crafts, drawing, coloring, and
baking. She made outstanding pies and blueberry muffins. She always enjoyed the company of
friends and family and entertained often over the years. A true animal lover, Elsie cherished the
unconditional love of the Mini Schnauzers she had. Precious to her was spending time at her
cottage in Wareham, where she savored the peace and quiet, the water views over the bay, and
the friendships she formed there. She and Harold had fun in their retirement, traveling to Alaska
and through the Panama Canal.
