OSSIPEE, N.H. — Jessie Bears Halpin, 89, of Ossipee, N.H., formerly of Lynn and Stoneham, went to be with the lord on Feb. 2, 2019. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jessie was born on Nov. 17, 1929 to Murdock Bruce Bears and Annabelle Macpherson Bears. During her life she was an avid knitter. She loved genealogy and was a member of The New England Genealogy Society and also The Mayflower Society of Maine.
Jessie is survived by her daughters, Judith Rich of Florida, Jane (Joel) Smith of New Hampshire and Sheila (William) Woods of New Hampshire; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Halpin of Virginia. She is also survived by a sister, Carol (Richard) Kendrick; a brother, Paul (Janet) Bears, and another sister, Annabelle Cashell. Jessie also has six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also has several nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by her loving husband Donald, her son Thomas E Halpin, a brother, Isaac Bruce Bears and a sister, Helen Hayes.
