LYNN — Jannell M. (McCormack) Morris, 32, devoted mother, fierce patriot, and United States Army veteran, died unexpectedly at North Shore Medical Center Union Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 after being stricken ill at home.
She lived life for her two adoring children, Gabrielle and Zion; and leaves her brother, Joseph Morgan and fiancé Shanna Gadoua of Leominster; maternal grandmother, Judith Jordan of Beverly; her father, David Roy of Lynn; the McCormack and Leger families; generations of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Julie (McCormack) Rosario.
Jannell was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Tech, Class of 2005. She proudly served our nation as a specialist in the U.S. Army and was deployed for several tours to fight the War on Terrorism in Afghanistan. Above all, she dedicated herself to her children, her family, and those who loved her most. Jannell was happiest while in the company of laughter, sharing her sense of humor, or a quick selfie.
Service information: A celebration of the life of Jannell Morris will be held at GOODRICH Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019.
