Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late Joaquim and Aurora (Gomes) Teixeira, he lived in Mattapoisett most of his life. Mr. Teixeira was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. He was formerly employed as a carpenter in Mattapoisett for over 35 years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army after the Korean Conflict.
