She was born on March 1, 1924 in Quebec, Canada to the late William and Florida (Beaudette) Beauchesne. She married Robert Dubois and moved to Holyoke in January of 1946. Germaine worked in the mills in Holyoke for 40 years, retiring in 1986 from Pratt & Austin. She lived in Holyoke for 32 years before moving to Chicopee, where she lived for many years.
