Tami J. MacDonald

Tami J. MacDonald, age 52, of Billerica, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2020, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Tami was born on February 15, 1968, in Boston, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Angus and Norma MacDonald. Tami was raised and educated in Wilmington and a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1986. Tami was quite an athlete and a stand out hockey player; she went on to further her education earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology where she played Hockey for all four years.

Tami was a hard worker and was never afraid of a challenge; at the time of her death she was employed with the Tunnel Worker’s Union in Boston.

Tami’s was known to be very family oriented; she was a devoted mother to her sons Matthew and Cameron, they were her pride and joy. Tami loved spending time with her family; she enjoyed hosting many pool parties during the summer, spending Christmas Eve with the family at her brother Jack’s home, traveling to Europe to spend time with her brother Greg’s family and her many visits to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to be with her Canadian family.

Tami will be fondly remembered as a beautiful person, inside and out. She was a hard worker who was generous and kind towards everyone. Tami had a passion for many sports but was an AVID Boston Bruins Fan and never missed a game. She was fun, happy and loved being with “her boys”. Tami loved those around her with all her heart and she will forever be missed.

Tami was the devoted mother of Matthew DeMarco of Tewksbury and Cameron Fabrizio of Billerica, she was the cherished only daughter of Norma (Keefe) MacDonald of Tewksbury, formerly of Wilmington and Angus MacDonald of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Tami was the dear sister of John “Jack” MacDonald and his wife Lori of Reading, Greg MacDonald and his wife Helena of Berlin, Germany and the late Keith “Keke” MacDonald. She was the loving aunt of Kara, Nicolas, Maria, Alex, Rachel, Audrey and Malcolm. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions and for everyone’s safety, the family of Tami MacDonald has decided to hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
