Gloucester – Ann Aldrich of Gloucester, Massachusetts passed away October 23, 2020 at home.
She was born February 26, 1934 and was the daughter of Arthur George Aldrich and Margaret "Savage" Aldrich.
She graduated in 1952 from Gloucester High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Harvard College in Cambridge in 1987.
She worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations for 40 years, 30 of them as a loan officer for the fishing industry.
Ann is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Michael Aldrich Overton and Karen "Livingston" Overton of Waterville Valley, NH and her two grandchildren Jason L. Overton and Joshua L. Overton of Easton, MA. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Debra "Shea" Aldrich of Falmouth, MA., her niece Erin E. Aldrich of Gloucester, MA., her niece and nephew-in-law
Leora Ulrich and Joshua Ulrich of Gloucester; her nephew and niece-in-law Arthur G. Aldrich III and Maura Aldrich of Falmouth, MA., and her nephew and niece-in-law Thomas D. Aldrich Jr. and Christine Sullivan of Northampton, MA. She leaves several great nieces and nephews, including Corryn Ulrich and Quinten Ulrich of Gloucester and several treasured friends and her class of 1952 lunch friends.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Gene J. Rossi and her brother and sister-in-law Thomas D. Aldrich and Priscilla Aldrich and several of her special friends. Also, her beloved brother and lifelong friend Arthur George Aldrich Jr. of Falmouth, and her nephew, Gregory S. Aldrich also, of Falmouth.
