Mario F. (Francis) Antonucci
August 15, 1936 – August 17, 2019

Mario F. Antonucci, longtime resident of West Medford and Reading, MA, passed away on August 17 at the Winchester Rehabilitation Center, after a brief illness.

Mario was born in East Boston in 1936, the son of Giacinto “George” and Corinna (Spera) Antonucci. A graduate of East Boston High School, he attended Northeastern University and Bentley College, graduating with a degree in business. Mario served in the National Guard and lived in East Boston, Chelsea, Malden, Reading and West Medford.

In November 1996, he married his longtime sweetheart, Natalie Moscone of West Medford.

Mario and his brothers George and Nick founded their mason contracting business, Antonucci Brothers, and later changed the name to Marnick Construction. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local #3 Union. Mario grew up playing baseball and football in his youth and remained an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie Antonucci; his sister-in-law Wanda P. Antonucci, brother-in-law John O’Neill, nieces and nephews George J. Antonucci, Kenneth G. Antonucci, Patricia Mazzapica, Corinne Wheelden, Denise McNamara, Victoria Plaine, Carl Plaine, Paul Plaine, Gina Harrison, Neil Formisano, Joseph Formisano, John O’Neill, Jr., Joseph O’Neill, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Mario was the last of eight in his generation and was preceded in death by his siblings, Angela Delaney –
DellaPiana, A. Virginia Ziegler, Norma Formisano, Victoria Plaine-Given, George Antonucci, Nicholas Antonucci and Joanne O’Neill, as well as his niece Andrea Antonucci, and nephews Nicholas Antonucci, Jr. and George Plaine.

Funeral services will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral, 29 Governor’s Ave, Medford, MA 02155. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday August 29th, from 8:30 – 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, Medford, MA, at 10:00 AM.
