2019, at his home in Fort Myers. He was the son of Thomas F.
Kiely and Eleanor M. (Hanley) Kiely. Growing up in Manchester, he graduated from St. John’s Prep and Merrimack
College. While serving in the Air Force, he traveled to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Tom had a varied and interesting work career where he was always the “go-to” resource. One of his favorite assignments was with Parker Brothers Games, excelling at sourcing and purchasing materials, and planning production.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 113; Manchester Harbor Boat Club; Manchester Yacht Club; and
served on the Harbor Advisory Committee.
Tom lived quietly, without fanfare, but could party with the best! Boating, books, and listening to jazz were among his favorite pastimes. His ability to listen, learn, observe, discuss, argue, and comment on most any subject, made him a terrific and unique son, brother, friend, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, mentor. He knew where he stood, and stood there. He found delight and a contented joy in the ordinary occurrences of life.
Tom leaves his wife, Ann Morose Kiely; two daughters: Cecilia and her wife Karen; Pamela and her fiancée Megan; brothers Richard (Polly) and Laurence; sisters Ellen Eldridge, and Susan (Frank) Malzone; and granddaughter Georgia Ray. He was predeceased by his sister, Ann.
Join the family in celebrating Tom’s life on Friday, June 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 113, 14 Church St., Manchester-by-the-Sea.
