Sean M. “Dewey” Devine, age 51, passed away sudden and unexpectedly, May 30, 2019, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved and cherished son of Mary K. (Kelly) Devine of Woburn and the late John M. Devine.
Sean was born in Winchester and grew up in Woburn graduating from Woburn High School with the class of 1986. Somewhere along the way in his pre-teens he acquired the nickname of “Dewey” and until this day it stuck. Sean had different jobs through the early years and ended with working for Mass Audio and Visual in Tewksbury.
Sean was a fun loving individual who loved life and family and a host of special friends. They were all a close knit group of friends for most of his life. Sean looked forward to his Friday night card games and playing golf any chance he got, not that he was that good at it… Sean also loved the Boston Bruins. His wry sense of humor, winning smile, and easy going manner went a long way with everyone. Things other people got upset and excited about, Sean just let roll off his back. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many dear friends and co-workers.
In addition to his beloved mother, Sean is survived by his sister; Kellie Devine of Woburn. He was the loving nephew of Anne Kelly of Medford and is also survived by many dear and special friends.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, June 6th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd, Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment services will be private.
