Katherine M. Manning, 91

PEABODY — Katherine M. (Endslow) Manning, 91, of Peabody, died Tuesday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J Manning Sr.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Sullivan) Endslow. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1945. She continued her education at Catherine Gibbs and received her associate’s degree in 1947.

Katherine was employed for more than 20 years as personnel assistant for Sears before she retired. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Sodality as well.

Katherine is survived by her two sons, John J. Manning of Lynn and Mark S. Manning of Berlin; her daughter, Maureen Dolan of Strafford, N.H.; and by her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Robert Dolan, Kelly, Stephanie, Patrick and Matthew Manning; and by her great-grandchildren, Luke, Finn, Riley and Ella. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rev. Bard Endslow, MS and William E. Endslow Jr., and Betty Ruane.

Service information: Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. at the CONWAY, CAHILL-BRODUER Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
