Beverly – Charles P. Desjardins, age 91, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. He was husband of Esther R. (Pascucci) Desjardins. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Peter and Blanche (Dore) Desjardins.
He worked at Reid Brothers and Federal Machine as a machinist for many years.
He enjoyed speed skating, golfing, fishing, listening to and playing music as well as visits from his many friends and family.
In addition to his wife Esther with whom they shared over 64 years of marriage with are three sons, Peter Desjardins and his wife Donna of Danvers, John Desjardins and his wife Hannah of Beverly, Chuck Desjardins and Sarah Moulton of South Hampton, N.H.; five grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Sam, Grace, Carley, and Emmy. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Desjardins.

His funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Beverly at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Campbell Funeral Home 525 Cabot St., Beverly, on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Dana Farber Cancer institute, www.dana-farber.org, and or the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
