Born in Winthrop on May 21, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles Elmer and Estelle (Doherty) Landry. Bob spent his younger years in Revere. Bob and his wife raised their three children in Marblehead, where they resided for over 46 years. He was employed with the Town of Marblehead Water and Sewer Dept. for 37 years, while also being known around town as “Bob the Lawnmower Man.” He had an amazing talent for being able to refurbish any lawnmower and make anyone in a room smile, with his quick wit and young heart.
In addition to his wife, Irene, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Laura and Pasquale Sperduto of Tenn., Susan and Joseph Donlon of Winchester, and Joseph and Robyn Landry of Danvers; his sister, Joan Johnson and her husband, James of Bedford; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Landry of Fla.; his grandchildren, Roseann, Cosmo, and Sofia Sperduto, Molly, Ellie, Thomas and Matthew Donlon and Lucas Landry; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Charles James Landry.
His funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
