SPENCER:William E. “Bill” Millett, Jr. ,58, of Spencer was reunited with his beloved parents William E. Millett, Sr. and Loretta M. (Pinard) Millett on Sunday, February 10th, after losing his short battle to cancer.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Cheryl (Steuterman) Millett of Spencer, his two children whom he absolutely cherished and adored, Zachary Millett of Spencer and Caitlyn Millett of Holden, and his English Mastiff, Dozer.
He also leaves behind his brother, John Millett and his wife Lori of Plymouth, sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Graham and her husband Kevin of Leicester, and Kathleen Millett of Palmer. His nieces and nephews Laurie, Michelle, Retta, Patrick, Biz, Mary, Ben and Samantha. His three lifelong best friends: Kenny Cancelli, Timothy “the Round-Man” McKeon and Mike “Chancey” Gardner.
Bill grew up in Cherry Valley and attended Doherty Memorial High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a great hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping with his wife and children at Old Orchard Beach and Pout n Trout, going for hikes and spending time in the mountains of Pittsburg, NH. Bill loved going for long country rides while listening to 70’s music with his wife and dog by his side and spending time with his friends and family.
Calling hours will be on Friday, February 15th from 4-6 pm in Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A prayer service will be held at the end of the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
