Salem – June A. (Gonet) Milo, 90 of Salem, beloved wife of the late Joseph Milo, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Lafayette Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Marblehead after an extended illness.

Born in Beverly, June was the daughter of the late Frank and Aurore (Duquette) Gonet. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School.

June worked for New England Telephone in Salem as a switchboard operator for several years. She also worked for the former Rich’s Department Store in Salem as a sales clerk, and for the former Ann & Hope Department Store at Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers as a merchandise price marker.

June immensely enjoyed her self-taught hobby of sewing. She especially enjoyed shopping for the fabric and novelty supplies for all of her sewing and creative craft projects for her family and friends.

A loving mother and grandmother, June was most proud of her family as she enjoyed sharing in their lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

June is survived by her son Frank Milo and his wife, Elaine Milo of Salem; her daughter Janet Mantyla and her husband Albert Mantyla Jr. of Peabody; her grandchildren, Danielle Milo-Craig and her husband Billy Craig of Salem, and Albert Mantyla III of Peabody. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, June was predeceased by her brother Frank Gonet, and her sister Eleanor Berry.
