Kensington, NH – Howard Robie …

Kensington, NH – Howard Robie Felch, Jr., 79, longtime resident of Kensington, N.H., passed Thursday morning, June 28, 2018, at Exeter Center for Health and Rehab, after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathryn A. (DeCoste) Felch, who died January 12, 2008. He has never stopped missing her since that day.
Born in Exeter, New Hampshire on April 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Howard R. and Georgiana (Currier) Felch and was a graduate of Amesbury High School.
Howard was inducted into the United States Army on October 14, 1961, and served until his honorable discharge on October 4, 1963, at which time he was transferred to the United States Army Reserve, completing his service on October 15, 1967.
Coming home after his military service, he started working at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, which lead to a lifetime career as a master pipe fitter at the Shipyard, retiring in 1995.
Howard appreciated the simple things in life – time spent with family and good friends, and especially enjoyed fishing all his favorite spots throughout the streams and lakes of New Hampshire. Howard and Kathryn were each others best friends, sharing a lifetime of wonderful memories and their passion for traveling from near and far.
He leaves behind his brother, Charles H. Felch and wife Delores of Seabrook, NH, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and his best friend, who could do no wrong, his Border Collie, “Scooter”, who passed a few days before Howard was admitted to Exeter Center. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Edward F. Felch and his sister, Juanita Parker.
By his request, there were no visiting hours. A private graveside service was held at the True Cemetery in Salisbury, where he was joyfully reunited with his wife Kathryn. Arrangements were by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
