Gloucester – A. Jeanette White, 93, of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, in Kaplan Family Hospice House with her family at her side, following a brief illness. She is the wife of the late Donald F. “Dub” White.
Jeanette was born August 16, 1924, in Gloucester. She is the daughter of the late Alfred H. and Sarah (Moody) Brazier. She is a lifelong resident of Gloucester, a graduate of St. Ann’s. She went onto Beverly Hospital School of Nursing where she received her R.N. in 1946.
Jeanette worked at Addison Gilbert Hospital on the Maternity ward for 40 years retiring in 1986 after assisting in the delivery of many babies. She served with the Nurse Corp during WWII.
She was a longtime communicant at St Ann’s Church and was also active with the Gloucester Seniors at Rose Baker.
Jeanette is survived by her children Donna Polizzia and her husband Paul of Gloucester, Pamela Finnegan and her husband the late John Finnegan, David P. White and his wife Lori of Lanesville, and Timothy F. White and his wife Julie of Gloucester; her ten grandchildren, Sara Whyte and her husband Alvin, Lori Polizzia, Brian Finnegan and his wife Melissa, Jennifer Garcia and her husband Gabe, Kyle White and his wife Brady Mae, Tyler White, Rachael White, Timothy White Jr., Nicholas White, Drew Douglas White. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nick, Caitlyn, Quinn, and Ava; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Freda Collins of Gloucester.
In addition to her husband, parents, and son-in-law, Jeanette is predeceased by her brother and four sisters.

Jeanette’s visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester, on Thursday evening, May 31, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral will be from the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. Jeanette’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant St., Gloucester, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
