Maria was born February 5, 1943 in Nicosia Sicily, Italy. She is the daughter of the late Silvestro and Morello (Giusppa) Romano. Maria came to the United States in 1961 and resided in Boston until 1982 when she moved to Gloucester. Maria treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gambling.
