Danvers – Mr. Arthur F. Miller, 72, of Danvers, beloved husband of Arlene Marie (Licata) Miller, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Massachusetts General hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Greenfield, he was the son of the late Charles Russell and Helen Elizabeth (Spencer) Miller, and stepfather Carl Schuele. He was raised and educated in Greenfield and attended Greenfield High School.
Mr. Miller had been employed with North Shore Council on Alcoholism and for 23 years had been the Facilities Coordinator for Christian Book Distributors in Peabody until the time of his retirement.
A resident of the Town of Danvers for over 40 years, Arthur enjoyed working around his house and yard and was a die-hard Boston Sports Fan who never missed a game. He was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren and family always came first. Always with a smile on his face and an ardent sense of humor, Arthur endeared himself to many with his affable personality and contagious smile. His devotion to his family was his greatest accomplishment and he will be deeply missed.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Arlene Marie (Licata) Miller of Danvers; his daughters, Michelle Hannah Adams and her husband John of Boston, and Danielle Miller Simbajon and her husband John of Medford; his grandchildren, Sofya Gurel and Mini Gurel; his brother Peter Spencer Miller of Greenfield; his nephew Charles Monroe Miller and his wife Laura of Springfield, Va.; and his grandnephew Oliver Miller and many dear friends. He was also the brother of the late Capt. Charles David Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62) Danvers, Saturday, May 5, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Arthur’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
