Marblehead, MA – Margaret Thom…

Marblehead, MA – Margaret Thomson Reiley, 92, formerly of Swampscott, passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2018.
Peggy was born in Philadelphia on March 8, 1926. She attended the Lower Marion High School and the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a varsity swimmer and field hockey goalie, and a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
She was married for 43 years to James M. Reiley, who passed away in 1993. Together they were parents to Kendree Parker of Dover, N.H., Ross Reiley (Dani Dedor) and Toby Reiley (Sally) of Marblehead; grandparents to nine, and great grandparents of three. Peggy is also survived by her identical twin sisters, Jean Castillo of Vero Beach, Fla. and Joanne Welsh of Gladwynne, Pa.
Peggy had many lifelong passions including years of service on the Alter Guild and Rummage Sale Committee at St Andrew’s Church, Marblehead; President of the North Shore Children’s Hospital Auxiliary; and spending hours in her beloved flower gardens. She left a legacy of skill sets to be passed on to her grandchildren—gracious entertaining, beautiful flower arrangements, service, kindness to others, and the love of a good beach walk.
A celebration of her life will be held July 28, 2018. Donations in her memory can be made to St Andrew’s Church, the Brooksby Village Resident Care Fund, or a charity of your choice. For more information or online guestbook, please visit www.MurphyFuneralHome.com or call 978-744-0497.
