Born in Lynn on July 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Gibney) Haley. He was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1948. Frank served our country during the Korean War with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He received his BA from Northeastern University in 1959. Frank had been employed as a financial manager at General Electric for over 40 years and retired in 1991.
A Danvers resident for 41 years, he was a communicant at Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, where he served as a faithful collector at the 8:30AM Mass. Frank enjoyed the ocean and sailing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by three sons, Kevin Haley of Pepperell, David Haley and his wife, Patricia of Manchester-by-the-Sea and Michael Haley of Danvers, six grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsay, Emily, Sarah, Nicholas and Alexander and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John C. Haley.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 9, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, from 3 to 6 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
