Formerly of Salem – David C. Guy, 81, of East Kingston, N.H., and formerly of Salem, died Monday, April 2, at Kaplan Hospice House, Danvers.
He was born in Boston, November 5, 1936, son of the late Edward L. and Helen L. (Carroll) Guy.
Educated in the Melrose school system, Mr. Guy graduated from Austin Cate Academy, Center Strafford, N.H.
For over 22 years he was employed as an engineer at Sylvania, where he retired in 2001.
Mr. Guy was a member of the Naval Reserves, and enjoyed camping, sailing, and was involved in the betterment of the Cricket Hill Complex where he resided.
He was the husband of the late Nancy J. (Brown) Guy, who died in 2017, and his survivors include a daughter, Pamela Hockhousen, and her husband George, of Sanford, Maine; a son, Scott Guy of Salem, Mass.; a sister, Helen Laramie of N.Y.; and two granddaughters, Sarah Hockhousen, and Rachel Jones and her husband Nathaniel.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, April 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
