Olga A. (Bukacz) McGann

Olga A. (Bukacz) McGann, 96, a lifelong Maynard resident, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Acton. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. McGann, to whom she was married 60 years at the time of his death in 2006. Born and raised in Maynard, she was the daughter of the late Elia and Apria (Denesiuk) Bukacz. A graduate of Maynard High School, Mrs. McGann was retired from the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard. She was a member of St. Bridget’s Parish in Maynard, the V.F.W Post #1812 Auxiliary, the DAV # 82 Auxiliary, and the Maynard Senior Citizens Club. She loved to garden and cook, and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Mrs. McGann was the sister of the late Wasil Bukacz and the late Anna Poole. She is survived by two nephews, Peter and James Poole; her dear friends, Patricia Engerbretson, and the Pillivant Family. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave, (Rte 111) Acton, on Saturday, November 8th from 8:00-8:30am prior to the funeral Mass. The funeral Mass will follow at 9:00am in St. Bridget’s Church, 1 Percival Street, Maynard, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117) Maynard.
